A founder member of Falmouth United (1983), Rui played at the semi-professional level in the Luso American Soccer Association (LASA) from 1981-1992 (Portuguese Sports - Taunton Sports-PAAC), and coached Falmouth United from 1988 to 1996. Rui scored over 100 goals in the Cape Cod Amateur Soccer League (CCASL) and was the recipient of the Cape Cod Amateur Soccer League's (CCASL) All-Star Award on multiple occasions. Rui also coached the Falmouth Ladies (Cape Cod Women Soccer League) in 1996, and has coached a Div. 1 boys team for the Falmouth Soccer Club since 2010. Rui holds a USSF coaching license. |
